I am a maker of things, lover of outdoor adventures, and proselytizer of all things aerospace. I got my start in digital fabrication in the spring of 2014, when I bought into batch 1 of the Shapeoko 2 CNC. Since then I’ve been steadily learning, improving, and sharing everything I can. I’m a content director at Carbide3D, and also make things in my garage by night. Professional details here: LinkedIn
The Machine Shop of Horrors is the designation I gave my workshop and Maker business. It’s an outlet for my creativity, and an answer to various necessities (ex. a I needed a wooden mallet.) and shower thoughts (ex. Can a Shapeoko CNC Carve a Pumpkin?). It’s a space where failure is often a tool for learning, and the output of my shop time is chronicled on my YouTube Channel for like-minded makers to learn from, and occasionally laugh at.
For Carbide3D CNC help, if you have an issue with your machine the first place you should go is customer support. They have seen a broader range of issues than I have, and it’s important that we be able to track statistics to make better products in the future. If you’ve exhausted the conventional support options, or have question about something unsupported/experimental I’ll try my best to help.
